  • Voices of non-credit Japanese language course attendees

Why do not you learn Japanese with us?

I am one of the students who attended the non-credit course with great pleasure. My experience was positive, indeed, very positive also for the effort that the teacher made to make me say something in Japanese. Ihope to continue the journey next semester. D (Took Elementary Conversation 1)

As a Japanese beginner, I am very appreciated to have the chance to learn this language from non-credit Japanese courses. In this semester, I learned basic grammar from the specified textbook under the guidance of the teacher. Moreover, I practiced basic daily conversations with the teacher, other students and Japanese native students during the classes. The atmosphere in the classes was relaxed and pleasant. The Japanese that I have learned not only allows me to better understand Japanese culture, but also facilitates my study and life in Japan. Lastly, Thank you very much.C (Took Elementary Conversation 1 and 2)

I took advanced classes. In Advanced Academic Reading, I found my opinions, focusing on criticism, and learned various expressions, how to summarize sentences and honorific. In the advanced-intermediate academic oral expressions, I studied Japanese speaking techniques to present topics of interest to others, from small things to news and articles, and communicate them in an easy-to-understand manner. In Advanced Academic Writing, I learned the composition, description, and prescribed expressions of academic sentences that are useful for writing thesis and dissertation. I have taken several Japanese classes so far. Among them, Japanese reinforcement was the most informative class. It was content with which teachers can learn the most necessary and difficult parts in depth by designing classes for advanced students in consideration of the needs of foreign speakers. The class atmosphere was good and anyone could ask questions without hesitation, so I enjoyed studying. LI (Took Advanced Academic Reading, Advanced Academic Writing, Pre-advanced Academic Listening & Speaking)

I took Japanese language reinforcement in the 2020 S semester. At first, I was anxious as Japanese classes were shifting to online lectures because of COVID-19. However, when I actually listened to the lecture, the teachers gave me enthusiastic guidance, so I was able to study with joy. Japanese reinforcement classes not only read sentences and solve problems, but also summarize them in their own words, present their thoughts, or write logically. In this way, I was able to acquire the necessary Japanese language proficiency in an academic field that I have never learned before. A (Took Advanced Academic Reading, Advanced Academic Writing, Pre-advanced Academic Listening & Speaking)
